Safety Data Sheets are key to a well-established Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program, to cover issues around occupational safety and health and spill-handling procedures.

The SDS (Safety Data Sheet) is also known by other names globally such as Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) or Product Safety Data Sheet (PSDS). They are primarily used for cataloging information on chemicals and have instructions on safe use and hazards associated with a material in use at the workplace. In most countries, occupational safety laws require that the relevant SDS should be available for reference, in any area where chemicals are stored or used.

The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) defines a standard specification for Safety Data Sheets, with 16 sections and an Annexure, which has become the internationally accepted standard.

Our services enable organizations affected by SDS requirements, both on the buy side and sell side. Companies that are mandated to publish Safety Data Sheets utilize our services around SDS authoring and publishing. While companies that require Safety Data Sheet use our services to collect the SDS from suppliers, index them and load the data into their EHS platform.

While most companies have internal EHS teams that can drive a good program, they often lack the internal bandwidth to manage the overall program; which is where we bring in value, by offering a flexible model for SDS compliance.

We provide:

  • MSDS/SDS
  • MSDS SDS indexing & mapping
  • Hazard Evaluation
  • SDS Hazard label statement preparation
  • Managing SDS within an EHS platform (SAP EHS™ / UL WERCS™ etc.)
  • Multilingual translation services
