They are the tier-one supplier of auto parts for most OEM automobile brands. The client’s innovative electronics technology provides a variety of products, systems, and services, for automobiles, consumer electronics, industrial devices, building products, and housing industries.
The widespread manufacturing locations challenged the client’s ability to maintain and assure quality approval process, adding to this is to quality planning with the supplier base worldwide. ComplianceXL will dedicate a team of PPAP engineers to develop a process design to meet client-specific requirements and help minimize the cost of poor quality (COPQ) with a robust approval flow.
The scope of the managed PPAP solution includes:
- Understanding client’s Approval Process design needs
- Recognize New Product Introduction requirements and timelines
- Define product or part Life cycle design changes
- Identify Change in Material or Sub-supplier, Manufacturing location, New tool / Tooling modification at the supplier and any changes in the manufacturing process by supplier/sub-suppliers
- Engage with suppliers globally to gather PPAP 18 Package elements and verify the package elements
- Develop and Complete the Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
- Validate and submit the PPAP Level 3 documentation
